Welcome
to Washington Elementary School
We
are one of the oldest, most established schools in the Boise
School
District and have a record of educational excellence.
Please take a moment to meet our teachers, explore the school
site and see why we are so proud to be here. Our playground is
small, but has met the needs of this school for over a hundred
years. We have Spanish classes, a Chess Club, after school activities,
a wonderful library, and a complete technology infrastructure
with room to room television production capability, and Internet
access. Our staff includes wonderful teachers and a remarkable
group of individuals that make up our support personnel. Believe
me when I say that this school is a gift to the children that
attend classes here.
Our parents are some of the most supportive
in the Boise District. We received an award from the State PTA
for having a membership larger than the student enrollment. On
any given day our building is filled with parent and community
volunteers that see to the needs of every child. We also have
a successful Partner in Education.
My name is Robert (Bob) Amburn and I'm the principal of Washington
Elementary. I've been working for the Boise School District for
thirty three years. I invite you to stop by the office any time
in the future to visit and hopefully you and your children will
become a part of this wonderful community.
Respectfully,
Bob Amburn
Principal
