On behalf of the Washington PTA and community,
WELCOME to Washington Elementary School. Washington was one
of the first elementary schools in Boise, and 107 years later
is still one of the BEST! At Washington, parents and staff hold education to a higher standard - it's the QUALITY of education that matters most. The EXPERIENCE and VERSATILITY of our staff is second to none. Our test scores are consistently tops in the district, if not the state. However, it may be the PERSONAL TOUCH that makes Washington most successful. At Washington, our principal and staff know each and every child (and most parents) by name and face. Quite simply, Washington Elementary is the CENTERPEICE OF OUR COMMUNITY, exactly what you envision a NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL to be. Neighbors chat daily, after walking or biking their children to school. Youth soccer or baseball practices occupy the fields most evenings. Chess club, math and science nights, and our Carnival, often bring students and families back to Washington after regular school hours. At Washington, we value our history. We know that a school is much more that just a building. We know that we are shaping the future - one UNIQUE kid at a time. PTA Meetings: Our meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the school library. Membership: PTA membership is $5 a person or $10 for a family. Your dues help support our local group and our state and national organization, creating a strong voice for our children.
