My Background
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to musician parents. We moved to California when I was three when my father was offered a job teaching music in the California public school system. Music has been a part of my life since birth. When I was nine years old, I auditioned for, and got a part as a singer for a special television show featuring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Mitzi Gaynor. I went to school on the set and still have fantastic memories of that experience. I am married and have three sons. My oldest, Justin, is a graduate of Albertson College of Idaho and is applying to medical schools. My middle son, Aaron, is a junior at Idaho State University and runs varsity cross country and track. My youngest is a junior at Meridian High School and is in both jazz and a cappella choirs. My Interests Besides music, my interests include activities involving my family. Camping, white water rafting, playing tennis, riding our motorcycle, traveling, reading and gardening are my prime interests. My Education I am celebrating my 30th year in education this year. I have taught grades one through sixth over those 30 years. I have a BA and MA from California State University, Northridge, and have been working in the Boise School District for 13 years. These past 13 years have been in the sixth grade at Whittier School. |
