The Boise School District Audiological services are provided by our full time audiologist. A variety of clinical audiological services are available throughout the Boise School system and are available for enrolled students ages three through high school.

Comprehensive hearing evaluations:

• Pure tone air and bone conduction testing
• Soundfield testing
• Speech audiometry
• Central auditory processing testing
• Tympanometry
• Otoacoustic Emissions testing
• Electroacoustical analysis of hearing aids     
• Real ear measurement
• Differential diagnosis of hearing loss
• Hearing testing and  screening for the difficult to test populations

Services to facilitate learning in the classroom:

• Auditory trainers and soundfield systems for classroom use
• Minor service for hearing aids and auditory trainers
• Assistance in program placements

• Consultations concerning effects of hearing loss
• Training of educational staff
• Referrals to outside medical and community agencies

Services are initiated through a referral process by the neighborhood school.

Our audiologist has 28 years of experience working in the Boise School system as both a clinical and educational audiologist. A member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Idaho Speech Language and Hearing Association, he holds Bachelors and Masters degrees of Science in Audiology and has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the ASHA.
