No previous tutoring experience is needed; our tutors are trained by Boise District teachers. Tutors receive three hours of training and a tutor manual before they begin their work with students.

  • different ways to present tutoring material
  • ways to effectively work with students

How can I become to be a reading or math tutor?

All tutors are required to complete an application and a background check before they begin tutoring. The background check is for the protection of the student, the tutor, and the school. All background check information remains confidential and handled only by district personnel.
