Learning Together Workshops

We know that families are children's first and most important teachers. Learning Together Workshops were created to provide information, training, and materials for families to help them support their children academically at home.

Learning Together Workshops are designed to:

  • Let parents know there are many ways to be involved
  • Empower parents to be part of the educational process
  • Focus on communication between home and school
  • Help teachers recognize additional ways parents can contribute
  • Build partnerships between families and school personnel

Learning Together Workshops provide:

  • Information about what students need to learn at each grade level
  • Information about state and district testing
  • Learning activities based on state standards
  • Books, games, and materials for families to take home and reinforce the skills learned in school
  • Dinner or snacks
  • Daycare for siblings
  • Each family attending a workshop receives a Learning Together activity packet to take home
