Mountain View Elementary - Update

Mountain View Elementary School was constructed in 1959 and is in need of a new facility required to meet modern educational standards.

With multiple portable classrooms, a small combined gym and cafeteria and limited space for learning and parent conferences, Mountain View ranked as the 8th worst elementary school for Educational Adequacy in the 2016 Facilities Audit.

A new school, in the same location, will meet modern education standards, and provide additional space for physical education and music.

August 7, 2019: The LKV designed Mountain View Elementary project managed by Kreizenbeck Constructors continues. Concrete footings and stem walls are complete. Under slab utility rough-ins are wrapping up. Construction of masonry walls is complete. Structural steel is being erected. Roof trusses are being installed. The new building is scheduled to be completed for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
