Certified Employees:
- District employees currently working in a certificated position are eligible to use the transfer application to apply for vacant, certified positions for which they hold the proper endorsement(s) and highly qualified documentation (if the vacancy is in a core content area)
- District employees currently working in a certificated position are eligible to use the transfer application to apply for vacant, classified positions
All current, District, certificated employees are eligible to receive email notifications for vacant, certified positions; for instructions to enroll for notifications, please view the Boise School District’s Vacancy Email Notification System User Guide.
Classified Employees:
- District employees currently working in a classified, regular position - as defined in the Classified Employee Handbook (Section 2.3.2 Status Classifications) - are eligible to use the transfer application to apply for vacant, classified positions
- District employees currently working in a classified, regular position - as defined in the Classified Employee Handbook (Section 2.3.2 Status Classifications) - who would like to apply for certified vacancies may apply via the transfer application so long as they have completed the certified application process and have been screened in the applicable subject area(s).
Temporary and Substitute Employees
- Temporary and substitute employees are not eligible to use the transfer application
- Temporary and substitute employees who would like to apply for open, vacant positions, must do so using the applicable application type
