Boise School District is ahead of schedule on the 22 capital projects approved by Boise voters in the March 2017 Bond Election. Nineteen of the 22 capital projects are either in design, under construction or completed. Below is a status report on the projects.
Capital Projects Completed:
• Amity Elementary - New school built on same site
• Boise - Renovated 1936 Gymnasium and new Performing Arts Center
• Fairmont - New cafeteria, gymnasium and classroom addition
• Hillside - New cafeteria, gymnasium and classroom addition
• Maple Grove - New gymnasium and classroom addition
• Dennis Technical Education Center - New annex built on DTEC campus
• Taft - New gymnasium, playground and lunchroom kitchen
• Timberline - New classroom addition
• Whittier - New school built on same site
Capital Projects Under Construction:
• Highlands - New school under construction on same site (estimated completion for start of
2020-21 school year)
• Mountain View - New school under construction on same site (estimated completion for start
of 2020-21 school year)
• Pierce Park - New school under construction on same site (estimated completion for start of
2020-21 school year)
• Koelsch - New kitchen/cafeteria (ribbon cutting/open house, spring 2020)
• Hawthorne - New kitchen/cafeteria (ribbon cutting/open house, spring 2020)
Capital Projects In Design:
• Harris Ranch - Design work by CSHQA Architects for the new elementary school to serve
southeast Boise is in progress
• Hillcrest - Design work by Hummel Architects for the new kitchen/cafeteria is underway
• Jefferson - Lombard Conrad Architects is designing a new stand-alone kitchen/cafeteria
• Valley View - Design work for the new school is underway with LKV Architects
• Washington - Lombard Conrad Architects is progressing with design work for the addition/renovation at the existing school
