Parent & Staff Memo - Coronavirus Information

Thursday, February 27, 2020

Dear Boise School District Parent/Guardian & Staff Member:

When it comes to the novel coronavirus, we want to reassure you that the Boise School District has a plan in place to keep our students and staff as safe as possible. We are working proactively and following the recommendations and guidelines of Central District Health (CDH).  In the event of a local outbreak, we will follow our Communicable Diseases Policies: #3430 and #3431, as well as the District’s pandemic illness plan.

According to CDH, at the time of this writing, there have been no confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Idaho. To keep you informed, CDH has established a novel coronavirus website with resources including information for students, families, staff and members of the general public to prevent a respiratory infection. Should there be a case in our schools, we will work with CDH to notify parents and staff within the school.  In the event of extended absences and/or school closures, information about the ability to continue education will be provided.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our students and staff safe. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

Sincerely,

Boise School District Administration
