Boise School District Update
September 10, 2021
Please review the following important information about some of the District’s procedures & information.
Keeping Our Schools Safe During COVID: Boise School District is committed to following effective mitigation measures to minimize the risk of COVID-19 in our schools. To this end, Boise School District’s Health Services Department has created Keeping Schools Safe, a brief presentation that includes important information for you to know as we continue to implement our COVID-19 Response Plan.

COVID-19 Testing Resources: COVID-19 tests are available at no cost to you at local health centers and select pharmacies. COVID-19 diagnostic testing is done to find out if you're currently infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Review COVID Testing Resources in the Treasure Valley. If you are an employee or a student in the District, you are eligible to access RT-PCR testing at Boise State. Currently the turnaround time for results provided by Boise State’s testing facility are significantly shorter than other testing facilities.

COVID-19 Vaccine Providers: Anyone 12 years and older may receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals can directly reach out to vaccine providers. If you have questions about vaccines or need help being connected to a vaccine provider, you may call Central District Health’s COVID-19 Information Call Center at (208) 321-2222, M-F, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Revised Boise School Board Meeting COVID-19 Protocols: On Monday, September 13, 2021, the Boise School Board will hold its regular monthly Board meeting at 6 p.m. at the District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Road. Due to COVID-19 health protocols and state physical distancing guidelines, the capacity at the District Service Center is extremely limited. The meeting will be live-streamed, which can be accessed via the Board Meeting Agenda website. We ask people to participate virtually if possible to ensure that in-person space is available to those without access to technology. Twenty (20) members of the public will be able to physically attend the meeting. Seats will be assigned to members of the public who contact the Clerk of the Board prior to the meeting (Sharon.mast@boiseschools.org). If any seats are not assigned ahead of time, they will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. All in-person attendees will be required to comply with all District, city, county and state Covid-19 protocols, guidelines, and orders. This includes wearing a mask. No posters or signs will be allowed in the Boardroom, but are allowed outside the North entrance to the building.
