WHY

National research into transition practices for special education students shows that a student's post-secondary outcomes improve when families, students, educators, and organizations work together.

"The SW Regional Virtual Transition Fair provides an opportunity for students and families to connect to resources early and throughout their high school career. It is one way we hope to improve post-secondary outcomes for students with disabilities," said Carol Carnahan, Special Education Teacher, Timberline High School.

"Our goal with sharing a transition fair in a virtual setting is that we can reach more families and individuals with disabilities to share the different types of resources and support available. No matter what level of need or what your plans are for after high school, there is someone out there to help you reach your goals," said Christine Kruse, Special Education Teacher, Boise Online School.
