Central District Health Decision Paves Way for
Phased Return to In-Person Learning
Boise, ID -- 09/08/2020 -- On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Central District Health moved Ada County school districts from Category 3 (red) to Category 2 (yellow) in regard to COVID-19's community spread. The decision paves the way for the Boise School District to implement an incremental and phased return to in-person learning.

"We are excited that our community’s collective efforts have worked to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and Central District Health has placed us in Category 2 (yellow) and we can begin to implement our phased plan to get students back safely in our schools," said Superintendent Coby Dennis, Boise School District.

"Of course, we are hopeful everyone will continue to implement the basic precautions that have helped so far. Please, everyone, keep washing your hands, practicing social distancing and wearing your masks."

In light of today's decision by Central District Health, Boise School District has moved up its deadline for public comments about the draft phased plan from Friday, September 11th to noon, September 9th. Boise School District will be reviewing those public comments and releasing a final plan on Thursday, September 10th.

In addition, this week, schools within the Boise School District will be providing families with further information about the phased return to in person learning and answering any questions.
