Celebrating Our Incredible Educators: Teacher Appreciation Week

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the heart of our schools—our amazing teachers! 🍎✨

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we honor the dedicated educators who go above and beyond each day to inspire, support, and empower Boise School District students. From crafting lesson plans to teaching life lessons, their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.

We invite our community to join the celebration: drop a comment or tag a teacher who’s made a difference in your life. Let’s flood our feed with gratitude and show our teachers just how much they mean to us! 💙👏

Words from Our Families 💬

As part of this week’s celebration, we also asked parents to share what makes Boise School District educators so special. Some of their heartfelt responses are shared below, highlighting the lasting impact our teachers make every day.

  • "Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, Ms. Thompson (White Pine Elementary School)! Your constant support and encouragement mean so much. Thank you for always being there to guide and uplift your students—you make a real difference every day, and we’re so grateful for all you do."
  • "Mrs. Castor (Hillcrest Elementary School) has truly transformed my daughter’s confidence in reading this year. She met her exactly where she was—academically and emotionally—and guided her with patience, encouragement, and expertise."
  • "Thank you, Mrs. Devore, (Monroe Elementary School) for all you do! You are amazing and we are so grateful for all your support and nurturing of our little guy!"
  • "We are so thankful to Mr. Byrne (Borah High School) for the opportunity he’s given our child to serve as a peer tutor in his class this year. This experience has been incredibly meaningful for him—not only has it helped him grow in responsibility and empathy, but it’s also given him a glimpse into what it looks like to support students with special needs."
