TVMSC Science Bowl Team Wins Regional Title, Advances to National Competition

Boise School District students continue to shine on the national stage! The Treasure Valley Math & Science Center (TVMSC) Science Bowl Team #1 has won the regional championship, securing their spot at the prestigious National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Team #2 demonstrated exceptional skill, earning an impressive third place finish.

The National Science Bowl, hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, is an intense academic competition that challenges students in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Energy, and Math. TVMSC’s victory is a testament to the district’s commitment to providing rigorous academic opportunities and fostering student success in STEM fields.

Under the guidance of Coach Allyson Randall and Supervisor James Wei, Team #1—Maria Ma, Jonas Wen, Elvin Song, Albert Pan, and Chris Li, with alternate Jacob Huang—exemplified teamwork, dedication, and scientific excellence.

This latest achievement highlights Boise School District’s ongoing mission to support and empower students, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to excel at the highest levels. As Team #1 prepares for nationals, the entire district celebrates their success, knowing they represent yet another shining example of Boise Schools leading the way in academic excellence!
