Certified New Applicant Orientation

We appreciate your interest in working with the Boise School District as a certified staff member. Our objective is to ensure we have qualified applicants in the hiring pools to fill vacancies as they are available. To assist with this, we offer an optional opportunity for first-time, certified applicants with the Boise School District to attend our Certified New Applicant Orientation.  Additional details can be found below. If you have questions, please contact us via email at employment@boiseschools.org or by phone at 208-854-4074 (option 2).

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), orientation sessions have been postponed and will not be scheduled during the 2021-22 school year.  This website will be updated as orientation sessions become available in the future.

Who should attend?

This orientation is intended for first-time applicants interested in applying for a certified, contracted position with the Boise School District.

Why should I attend?

This orientation is an opportunity to learn more about the certified applicant, content-area screening, and hiring process used by the Boise School District. In addition, applicants will have an opportunity to meet available content-area supervisors, listen to guest speakers, observe a mock screening interview, and ask questions. While this orientation is not a requirement for employment purposes, we highly encourage all first-time, certified applicants to attend.
