BSD IT department works collaboratively with all district departments and schools to define goals, develop plans and implement new technology. The BSD IT department is structured to efficiently maintain services, systems and information.

Customer Service - First contact customer support, dispatch and liaison between end-users/patrons and tiered support staff.
Troubleshoot / Dispatch - Resolve or dispatch IT related incidents to minimize escalations, track incident issues until resolved, training, guidance, and referrals for technology and District resources.

Hardware and Software Support and MaintenanceCLIENT SUPPORT SERVICES 9 and 4 part-time FTE
End-Use Computing Services - Perpetual support and maintenance of systems and equipment in assigned schools, not limited to; configuration, evaluation, functionality, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
 Hardware and Software - Analyze, maintain, support, research, and recommend business/curriculum related resources including configuration and maintenance of mobile devices and labs.
Peripheral Services - Configure, maintain and support printers, projectors, scanners, streaming options; such as Apple TV, and other technical input or output devices relating to computing.

ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SERVICES 3 FTEOperational Application Interface
Account Services - Integrate and deploy/maintain applications for district accounts for network and cloud computing resources.
Interface Services - Interface multiple Application Service Providers with established District accounts and systems.
‚ÄčEnterprise Applications - Analyze, support and maintain cloud, hosted, and in-house systems.

Network Architecture, Security and VoIPENGINEERING SERVICES, Build and Maintain Infrastructure 4 FTE
Systems Services - Administer access to network resources, server maintenance.
Network Services - Ensure persistent network, wireless and VoIP connectivity throughout district campuses.
Security Services - Constant network intrusion prevention, authentication, and operation. INFORMATION SYSTEM 3 FTE
Data Warehouse- Maintain centralize data for education processes, communication and,daily operations. 

 - Real-time data extractions for analysis, reporting, filtering, and accurate state reporting.
Curriculum / Instructional Management - Support academic and 
course management, grading, scheduling, and staff training.

Mobile Application:
Great news! You no longer need a District ID to access the mobile app, just update your version of the Infinite Campus Mobile Portal App.  The updated version requires iOS 8+ and Android 2.3+.  Simply search for the district name and state.  It's not necessary to enter the full district name simply enter "Boise" in the District Name field and select the state.  Click Search,  'Boise Independent District' will be displayed.  When you click on 'Boise Independent District' a prompt to enter your Username / Password will appear to login to the app.   
If your device is unable to update,Boise Schools District ID is SFWTBC use Capitalization.
