Tom Alvarez is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage with a B.A in Art, emphasis in Photography. He has over 40 years of photography experience. 

Tom was employed as a newspaper Photojournalist for over ten years, working in Alaska, New York and California. He was also a Staff Photographer with defense contractors in Alaska for over 13 years, providing photographic services (both studio portraiture and field photography) to the U.S. Army.  In addition, he has worked as a photographer for the Idaho Army National Guard at Gowen Field in Boise, providing studio and field photography.

Tom is an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and currently serves with Americorps in Idaho.

This Fall, Tom is teaching PHOTOGRAPHY FOR BEGINNERS.
