Boise, ID  -- 02/18/2021 --  The Boise School Board today unanimously approved a phased return to five-days-a-week in-person learning for Boise School District students, beginning March 9th.
After considering input from parents, students, staff, medical experts and new guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control for safely returning to in-person learning, the Board approved the following:

“We appreciate the input of our parents, secondary students, and staff members, including the work of our Exploratory Committee,” said Boise School Board President Dave Wagers. “Throughout this process we have been committed to listening to as many people as possible in reaching a decision for our students and our staff to safely return to full-time in-person learning.”
By implementing a phased approach to returning to full-time in-person learning, the District will be able to monitor and adjust school operations, if needed.  The District will continue to follow safety protocols (i.e., strict quarantining for
exposures and illness for substantial community transmission, masking, physical distancing to the extent possible and environmental cleanliness) and consult regularly with Central District Health and our medical partners about COVID-19 and potential impacts to the District’s school operations.
*This phased return to five-days-a-week in-person learning does not affect Boise Online School students who will continue with online learning.
