Boise School District's 2019 high school graduates are preparing to succeed beyond high school. In the following videos, meet some of our outstanding 2018 graduates and learn how the Boise School District has helped them prepare for success in college, career and citzenship.
Meet Boise High School 2019 Graduate Ruby Berliner. She credits Boise School District educators and staff for preparing her to succeed beyond high school. She'll attend Seattle University on a full-ride scholarship. She crafted a speech on solving the healthcare crisis after reading the book An American Sickness for one round of her award. This fall, she plans to study Public Policy and make a significant impact on our world.
Meet Boise High School 2019 Graduate
Christopher Patrick. He credits Boise School District educators and staff for helping prepare him to succeed beyond high school, whether that's in college, career or in life. He plans to attend a 4-year university this coming fall to study Business and/or Economics and is considering working abroad with a degree in Economics, Business or Political Science and may pursue graduate studies.
Meet Borah High School 2019 Graduate
Anthony Garcia. He is a Gates Scholar who is headed this fall to attend Georgetown University to study Cybersecurity and Political Science. The Borah Career Center was his favorite part of the year, spending most of his open periods working on college and scholarship applications with Career Counselor Ms. Jenni Kimball.

Sebastian Kafuku. Born in the Republic of Congo, he arived from Zambia in 2015, learned about the plumbing shortage in Boise, and began taking classes in Plumbing at the Dennis Technical Education Center. He will continue his apprenticeship work and certification at the College of Western Idaho this fall.

Alyse Palsulich. This fall, she will study Computer Science at the University of Utah. She is also a published author interested in helping younger students. She credits Boise educators and staff for preparing her to succeed in college, career and in life.
Meet Capital High School 2019 Graduate
Wesley Capps. He's headed to Boise State Unversity this coming fall where he'll consider majoring in Business. He credits Boise School District educators, Advanced Placement coursework and taking advantage of abundant extracurricular opportunities for preparing him to succeed in college, career and in life.

Owen Shirazi. He's soon to be a member of the U.S. Air Force Tactical Air Command Party. He says he's up for the academic challenge because he says the Boise School District has given him the skills to learn and succeed.
Meet Frank Church High School 2019 Graduate
Nancy Alcantar-Rodriguez. She credits Boise School District educators and staff for preparing her to succeed beyond high school. She will attend College of Western Idaho to study education or social work and then join the National Guard. She wants to "impact kids" and "give them someone to talk to and trust." She credits Frank Church High School Social Worker Ms. Amy Rust with helping her "accomplish so many things."

Evan Wilson. He credits Boise School District educators and staff members for preparing him to succeed in college, career and in life. He's faced health challenges and met them head on as he prepares to go on to study for a career in welding at College of Western Idaho and College of Southern Idaho.
Meet Timberline High School 2019 Graduate
Sofia Edgar. She credits Boise School District educators and staff for preparing her to succeed in the future. Thanks to Les Bois Junior High School Biology Teacher Mr. Robert Bowman she says she was taught the power of citizen science and investigative questioning. She says without this knowledge she might not have had the initiative to build a weather station and take data with it in Antarctica. In the fall, Sofia will attend Bates College in Lewiston, Maine to study Engineering and the Violin.

Bradley Funkhouser. He credits his teachers and coaches for making his life better and teaching him to socialize so he can pursue his passion for fly fishing and become a global guide. He is heading to the University of Idaho to study Fisheries Biology.

Sean Halford. He credits Boise School District educators and staff for preparing him to succeed in college and in life. This fall, he plans to attend the Honors Program at the University of Arizona, Tucson to double major in Astronomy & Physics. His career goal is to become an astrophysicist and work for NASA.
