Krista Hasler was elected to the Boise School Board during the Trustee Election held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

The election consisted of one contested Trustee race with a two-year term. The election results for the two candidates are as follows:

The winning candidate will be sworn into office during the regular Boise School Board meeting to be held on Monday, September 9, 2024. Further election information, including results, can be found on Boise School District's 2024 Trustee Election website.

The Board of Trustees will certify the election results during the Board meeting scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2024.

Election Information

The seven members of the Boise School District Board of Trustees maintain legal control of the Boise School District and are elected to staggered six-year terms by District residents.  Elections are held every two years on the first Tuesday in September with Trustees being elected at large. The Trustee Election of the Boise School Board will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. 

1. This Election will consist of three separate Trustee races. Qualified voters may vote in any or all races.
   • In Race #1, there are three open seats. Voters may vote for up to three candidates.
   • In Races #2, and #3 there is one open seat in each race and voters may vote for one person in each race.
   • The following Candidates have filed for this year's election:

     Since only incumbents have filed for races #1 and #2, these races are considered uncontested. Per Idaho code 33-502B, the uncontested races will not appear on the ballot. The ballot will consist of one contested Trustee race with a two-year term. You can view a sample ballot here. 

      

      

2. To be eligible to run for election, a Board candidate must be at least 18 years of age, a resident and registered voter of the Boise School District, and have no pecuniary interest, either directly or indirectly, in any contract with the District.
   
   
3. The Declaration of Candidacy form will be available on Friday, May 17, 2024. Completed Declaration of Candidacy forms may be submitted to the Clerk of the Boise School Board starting Monday, June 24, 2024 and ending no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024.
   
   
4. All candidate names, addresses, occupations and any other information submitted on the Declaration of Candidacy will be made available to the news media following the July 5th filing deadline.  Information may be released earlier if requested by a media representative.
   
   
5. Absentee Ballot request forms will be available starting Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Boise School District Services Center or on the District website www.boiseschools.org. Completed Absentee Ballot request forms must be received by the District by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024. We will begin mailing Absentee Ballots to voters for the September 3rd, 2024 Election on Monday, July 29th, 2024. All absentee Ballots must be returned to the District Services Center by Election Day, September 3rd, 2024 at 8:00 pm
   
   
6. The logic and accuracy test will be performed on August 29, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the District Service Center, 8169 W. Victory Rd.
       
7. Patrons may also vote early at the District Services Center at 8169 West Victory Rd. from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday, August 19, 2024 - Friday, August 30, 2024, or on Election Day at any of the Polling Locations listed in the link below.
   
   
8. Individuals elected will then be sworn into office during the regular Board meeting on September 9th, 2024.
