Meet Our Parent Advocacy Group
Amplifying Parent Voice & Meaningful Collaboration
The Parent Advocacy Group works closely with our Superintendent Lisa Roberts, as well as Deputy Superintendents Wendy Johnson and Nick Smith. The group includes parent representatives from each of the District’s four high school attendance areas, Boise, Borah, Capital, and Timberline, as well as at-large members representing elementary, junior high, and high school families across the district.
The purpose of the Boise School District Parent Advocacy Group is to:
- Foster meaningful collaboration between families and district leadership
- Amplify parent voices in district decision-making
- Promote community engagement across all schools
- Build a network of informed parent advocates
- Encourage constructive dialogue and shared learning
- Support a well-rounded educational experience for all students
- Strengthen communication between families and the district
- Ensure a wide range of perspectives are heard, understood, and valued

Presentations
At each meeting (with the exception of the tour of the Dennis Technical Education Center), district leadership shared information, gathered parent input and feedback, and answered questions on issues ranging from academics to programs to budgeting.
