We understand many of our Boise School District families have questions regarding today’s incident on one of Durham School Services buses. We have the same questions and concerns. First and foremost, how did a 19-year-old who is not a student at our schools board a school bus, and what can we do to prevent this in the future. Boise Police has issued a news release on this incident.
At this time, the incident is still under investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, our administration will lead a review of our current procedures and protocols and identify how we can improve them to prevent situations like this in the future. As we continue to review the situation and identify possible enhancements to our procedures, we will continue to communicate with families.
As we work to address this situation, we understand if parents and guardians choose to identify alternative transportation to and from school for their children.
