New Internet Safety Tool for Families: Activate Your Free Qustodio Parent App
We’re excited to share a new tool that puts more control and insight into your hands when it comes to your child’s online safety.
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, Boise School District is transitioning to a new internet filtering system called Linewize. With this change, families will receive free access to the Qustodio Parent App—a powerful tool that helps you support healthy and safe online habits for your child.
What This Means for You
Your child’s school device is already protected with internet filtering to block inappropriate content. Qustodio takes that protection a step further by giving you visibility into your child’s online activity and allowing you to set limits and controls after school hours.
With Qustodio, you can:
You can also choose to connect one personal device per child (optional). No information from personal devices is shared with the Boise School District.
Take Action: Activate Your Free Qustodio Account
You will receive an email from Qustodio in the coming days with instructions to register. Or, you can get started now at www.qustodio.com/my-school.
Use the same email address you’ve provided to the school. To update your email, log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or contact your child’s school. Please note it may take up to 24 hours for updates to take effect.
Important: The current GoGuardian Parent App will no longer work after August 1st, 2025. To avoid losing any parental controls, be sure to activate and set up your Qustodio account before that date.
We’re here to support you in helping your child stay safe and thrive in a digital world. Visit the Boise School District Online Safety Hub to learn more about Qustodio and explore helpful resources.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe online.
Sincerely,
Boise School District Information Technology Department
