Boise School District will once again participate in the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast and/or lunch will be provided to children ages 1 through 18 at a number of school and park sites without charge.

Idaho Governor Brad Little recently commended the exceptional talent and innovation of high school students in the Gem State by presenting awards to the top three projects at the Idaho Research Engineering Showcase. Notably, all three award-winning projects hailed from the Boise School District, highlighting our commitment to fostering STEM education and empowering young minds to tackle real-world challenges.

Each year, a commission chooses 161 United States Presidential Scholars, honoring graduating seniors from all over the nation for their excellence. Usually, the two or three students chosen from Idaho come from different parts of the state. This year, the scholars not only both live in Boise, but also both attend Timberline High School. For the 21st consecutive year, Boise School District has received the Meritorious Budget Award as presented by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). The award honors the District for transparency and excellence in the budgetary process.

Following the conclusion of two parent engagement meetings regarding the transition of Owyhee Elementary from a traditional K-6 elementary school to an Early Childhood Center, the Boise School District administration wants to take this opportunity to clarify the process and timeline.

Boise School District officially dedicated Dallas Harris Elementary School on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The school was made possible thanks to voters who passed the 2017 bond election and the Harris Family who donated the land upon which the school was built.
